The whole policy, in one line

PoolBud does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. Everything you enter stays on your devices and in your own private iCloud — never on our servers, because we don't have any.

What the app stores, and where

Your pools and hot tubs, test readings, doses, notes, photos and settings are stored in the app's private database on your device, and sync between your devices through your own private iCloud (Apple's CloudKit). PoolBud has no server of its own and no account system, and cannot read your iCloud data.

What the app does not do

No analytics or tracking SDKs, no advertising frameworks, no third-party code that phones home.
No access to your contacts, location, microphone, or camera roll beyond the photos you explicitly pick.
No email address, name, or identifier is ever requested or stored.

Purchases

The one-time unlock is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. PoolBud never sees your payment details. Purchase state is verified on your device via Apple's StoreKit.

Notifications

If you enable the weekly test reminder, the notification is scheduled locally on your device. Nothing about it leaves your phone.

Deleting your data

Delete a check-in and it is removed from your device and your iCloud. Delete the app and disable PoolBud under Settings → iCloud to remove everything. We cannot retain what we never had.

Changes & contact

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Questions: support@poolbud.app.
